Seniors’ Halloween Party
The Cicero Senior Center invited all the Seniors of Cicero to the annual Halloween Party. On Wednesday, October 25th seniors were asked to come dressed in their best costume and join all the spooky excitement at the Cicero Community Center. This year the seniors were able to participate in the first karaoke contest.
Our very own Town President Larry Dominick took over the karaoke mic and delighted everyone by singing “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.
“I really enjoy this. I love giving to the seniors because I’m a senior too but they’ve worked all their life and they deserve it. I hope everyone has a good time,” said President Larry Dominick.
“It’s always great to see smiles on faces and thanks for everything. God bless you and God bless Cicero”.
The First Lady of Cicero Diana Dominick organized the party. With many seniors saying it was the best party yet. Multiple residents were not shy to take over the mic and please everyone with a karaoke song of their choice.
“I am very impressed to see so many creative costumes,” said Senior Center Director Diana Dominick.
Many seniors were happy to be able to hang out with friends.
“My hats off to Diana Dominick for putting this beautiful party together. It’s gets people out of the house to socialize,” said Town Supervisor Joe Virruso.
“Karaoke was a lot of fun. My hat’s off to President Larry Dominick because he really keeps the senior events going and expanding. He is the best.”
Town Trustee Blanca Vargas also attended the fun party.
“Thank you for our President Larry Dominick who always takes care of our community and also the senior citizens. And thank you to Diana Dominick the director of the Senior Center for planning this beautiful event. Everyone had a wonderful time,” said Trustee Vargas.
“To me everyone was a winner.”
Also attending the party was Town Trustee Victor Garcia.
“There were a lot of good costumes. It’s hard to judge. They all did great,” said Trustee Garcia.
“It’s very important for them to be active and be happy.”
Frank Kraut won Best Costume with his prisoner costume.
Fiesta de Halloween para Personas Mayores
El Centro de Personas Mayores de Cicero invitó a todos los adultos mayores de Cicero a la fiesta anual de Halloween. El miércoles 25 de octubre, se les pidió a los adultos mayores que vinieran vestidos con su mejor disfraz y se unieran a toda la emoción espeluznante en el Centro Comunitario de Cicero. Este año, los adultos mayores pudieron participar en el primer concurso de karaoke.
Nuestro propio Presidente Municipal, Larry Dominick, tomó el micrófono de karaoke y deleitó a todos cantando “My Way” de Frank Sinatra.
“Realmente disfruto esto. Me encanta dar a los adultos mayores porque yo también soy un adulto mayor, pero han trabajado toda su vida y se lo merecen. Espero que todos se diviertan”, dijo el Presidente Larry Dominick.
“Siempre es genial ver sonrisas en los rostros y agradecemos por todo. Dios los bendiga y Dios bendiga a Cicero”.
La Primera Dama de Cicero, Diana Dominick, organizó la fiesta. Con muchos adultos mayores diciendo que fue la mejor fiesta hasta ahora. Varios residentes no dudaron en tomar el micrófono y deleitar a todos con una canción de karaoke de su elección.
“Estoy muy impresionada de ver tantos disfraces creativos”, dijo la Directora del Centro de Personas Mayores, Diana Dominick.
Muchos adultos mayores estaban felices de poder pasar tiempo con amigos.
“Me quito el sombrero ante Diana Dominick por organizar esta hermosa fiesta. Saca a la gente de la casa para socializar”, dijo el Supervisor Municipal Joe Virruso.
“El karaoke fue muy divertido. Me quito el sombrero ante el Presidente Larry Dominick porque realmente mantiene los eventos para adultos mayores en marcha y en expansión. Él es el mejor”.
También asistió a la fiesta la Síndica Municipal Blanca Vargas.
“Gracias a nuestro Presidente Larry Dominick, quien siempre se preocupa por nuestra comunidad y también por las personas mayores. Y gracias a Diana Dominick, la directora del Centro de Personas Mayores, por planificar este hermoso evento. Todos se divirtieron mucho”, dijo la Síndica Vargas.
“Para mí, todos fueron ganadores”.
También asistió a la fiesta el Síndico Municipal Victor García.
“Había muchos buenos disfraces. Es difícil juzgar. Todos lo hicieron genial”, dijo el Síndico García.
“Es muy importante que estén activos y felices”.
Frank Kraut ganó el Mejor Disfraz con su disfraz de prisionero.
