The Town of Cicero maintained its tradition of vibrant festivities, relocating the annual Easter celebrations from the outdoors to the welcoming confines of the community center.
Special Events Director Patricia Salerno acknowledged the recurring challenge posed by unpredictable weather, stating, “We’d love to keep it in the park but it seems every time we do attempt it Mother Nature works against us.” Opting for an indoor venue provided clarity and ensured an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Families from Cicero enthusiastically embraced the Easter festivities on Saturday, March 23, as the community center transformed into a hub of activity from noon onwards.
Children relished interacting with the Easter Bunny, capturing cherished moments through photographs and engaging in many activities.
Reflecting on the event, Director Salerno remarked, “It’s a fun family event, as it always is,” while expressing gratitude for President Larry Dominick’s and the Board of Trustees’ unwavering support.
Inside the community center, families eagerly queued up for their turn to capture snapshots with the Easter Bunny, appreciating the opportunity for quality family time. Their sentiments echoed gratitude towards President Dominick for fostering such community-centric events.
Despite weather-related challenges, the Town of Cicero remains steadfast in its commitment to providing memorable experiences for its residents, reinforcing the enduring spirit of community and togetherness.
El Municipio de Cicero mantuvo su tradición de festividades vibrantes, trasladando las celebraciones anuales de Semana Santa del exterior al acogedor recinto del centro comunitario.
La Directora de Eventos Especiales, Patricia Salerno, reconoció el desafío recurrente que plantea el clima impredecible, declarando: “Nos encantaría mantenerlo en el parque, pero parece que cada vez que lo intentamos, la Madre Naturaleza se nos opone”. Optar por un lugar bajo techo proporcionó claridad y garantizó una experiencia agradable para todos los asistentes.
Las familias de Cicero recibieron con entusiasmo las festividades de Semana Santa el sábado 23 de marzo, cuando el centro comunitario se transformó en un centro de actividad a partir del mediodía.
Los niños disfrutaron interactuando con el conejito de Pascua, capturando momentos especiales a través de fotografías y participando en diversas actividades.
