Town honors company that donated equipment to help disabled individuals in Cicero

Town President Larry Dominick and the Town of Cicero Board of Trustees presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Bob Shea founding director of the “Devices 4 Persons with Disabilities.”

Shea donated equipment to assist disabled individuals to walk including canes, walkers and Rollators with seats that disabled use to walk and sit when needed.

“Mr. Shea has been donating equipment to hundreds of needy persons with disabilities for nearly two years in our community and we so appreciate what he has done,” said Trustee Blanca Vargas who presented the certificate to Shea at Tuesday’s (May 23) board meeting.

President Dominick, who created the Town’s Disability Department, also thanked Shea saying, “Your generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you for all that you do.”

Vargas and Shea said this week, that “Devices 4 Persons with Disabilities” was also donating six wheel chairs to the Senior Center.
