The Cicero Fire and Police Commission conducts the following testing;
-ForCicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for hiring of potential candidates,
including arranging required continued testing of candidates called from the list.
-Cicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for promotion to Fire Lieutenant.
-Cicero Police Department creating an eligibility list for hiring of potential candidates,
including arranging required continued testing of candidates called from the list.
-Cicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for promotion to Police Sergeant.
-Make public announcements when testing id mandated and continue communication wit applicants throughout all testing processes.
-Conducting some disciplinary hearings as per collective bargaining agreements.
-Maintaining records of hiring and separation of Fire and Police officers.
-Meet on a monthly basis to manage the conduct of all of the above.
