Town of Cicero Seeks Public Input on Flood Mitigation and Infrastructure Improvements

PUBLIC NOTICE
Town of Cicero Seeks Public Input on Flood Mitigation and Infrastructure
Improvements
The Town of Cicero wants to know what residents think about proposed projects
designed to strengthen infrastructure and reduce flooding.

The town received more than $96 million in Community Development Block Grant-
Disaster Recovery funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban

Development to recover from the 2023 flood events. Of that funding, $69.5 million has
been set aside for stormwater infrastructure and sewer improvements, along with
additional flood prevention measures.
The town is hosting a public meeting Wednesday, July 29, 2026, to gather feedback
from residents about which areas should be prioritized.

Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026
