Town of Cicero – Request for Proposal Notice

The Town of Cicero (Town) is currently seeking bids from highly qualified Contractors to provide and install residential backflow prevention valves under the Town’s Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Cicero Basement Flood Program.

This service will include the installation of backflow prevention valves for approved single-family homeowners to prevent future flooding and sewer back-up. 

Notice is hereby given that the Town will accept proposals until 2:00 PM (CST) on June 8, 2026.  The Request for Proposal (RFP) is comprised of the base RFP document, any attachments and any addenda released before contract award. All attachments and addenda for this RFP in advance of any contract award are incorporated herein by reference.   RFP Documents are available at https://thetownofcicero.com/government/town-notices/

• Proposal Submittal Instructions

All proposals MUST be clearly identified on the envelope as: 

RFP-CDBG-DR Basement Flood Prevention Program and MUST be delivered by 2:00 PM (CST) on June 8, 2026, and publicly open and read at that time. The Town will stamp each proposal as received.

RFP-CDBG-DR Basement Flood Prevention Program

Late Proposals will not be considered, will be rejected, and destroyed. The Town will not be responsible for any delays in the delivery, receipt, or handling of Proposals. An authorized representative of your organization must sign all proposals. Faxed or emailed proposals will NOT be considered. 

Contractor(s) must submit one (1) original and five (5) copies in hardcopy format. In addition, Contractor(s) must submit six (6) copies of the Proposals on a flash drive in PDF format. The original document must clearly be marked and must bear the original signature of an authorized agent. Contractor(s) must enclose all required documents, CD’s, and flash drives in a sealed envelope. Proposals submitted via facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted, will be rejected, and destroyed.
