The Town of Cicero will celebrate Greek Independence Day at 11am on Wednesday, April 6, at the Cicero Community Center. The event will include Greek cuisine, Greek entertainment and speakers discussing Greek heritage.
Every year we recognize all of our various ethnic groups and salute their histories and cultures. We host events for Hispanics, African-Americans, Italian, Czechs, Greeks, Polish and Lithuanians, among many others.
These events commemorate the birthday of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Casimir Pulaski Day; the Houby Festival; Columbus Day; Cinco de Mayo; Mexican Independence Day; Puerto Rican, Lithuanian and Greek Independence days; and AmericanFest, celebrating American Independence Day, one of our largest events of the year.
