Hosting a Garage Sale? Please Read This First

A PERMIT IS REQUIRED to host a garage sale in the Town of Cicero.

Permits are available at the Clerk’s Office and are valid for a two-day sale.

Please note: Only one garage sale is allowed per household per year.

Important Regulation:

• The permit must be posted at the entrance door to the garage sale for the duration of the event.

Advertising Guidelines:

• Signs may only be placed in the front yard of the property holding the sale.

• Signs are not allowed on public property, including streetlights, telephone poles, or parkways.

The Code Enforcement Department will conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with all Town ordinances.

Violators may be fined up to $100.00.
