Apply for Your U.S. Passport at the Cicero Clerk’s Office

You can apply for a U.S. Passport Book (valid for international travel by air, sea, or land) or a U.S. Passport Card (not valid for air travel) at the Cicero Town Hall, 4949 West Cermak Road, 1st Floor, Monday through Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (subject to agent availability).

About the Passport Card

The Passport Card is valid for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. It offers a smaller, less expensive alternative for those who travel only to these destinations.

Processing Times

Regular Processing: 4–6 weeks
Expedited Processing: 2–3 weeks

What to Bring

Two (2) passport photos (2x2 inches)*
Valid Driver’s License or State ID
Original or certified copy of your Birth Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship

*Residents can visit CVS or Walgreens to obtain passport photos.

Passport Book Fees

Two separate payments are required: one to the U.S. Department of State and one to the Town of Cicero. Personal checks or money orders only.

Priority Mail Express Fee Increase Effective October 1 st , 2026

On Thursday, October 1 st , 2026, the optional fee for Priority Mail Express 1-3 day delivery will increase to $26.87. Please refer to the attached fee charts, provided in English and Spanish, and update your website and all materials that reference express delivery.
