COVID-19 restrictions eased for Restaurants, Bars and Salons
The Town of Cicero Business License Department released new guidelines based on the directives set by the STate of Illinois for the expansion of services by restaurants, bars and salons during the coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic.

BARS
Attention Cicero Businesses:
We are happy to announce, by order of the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, that all bars can open for temporary outdoor-person dining beginning, Monday, June 01st, 2020. For all the bars in Cicero, we will be allowing a TEMPORARY opportunity to have outdoor-person dining during the COVID-19 pandemic or until further notice. However, prior to opening your establishment for temporary outdoor-person dining, you must submit a plan and sketch detailing how and where you will have the outdoor-dining service offered to the public by email to ivargas@thetownofcicero.com along with your phone number, and I, the Business License Director, will contact you when everything has been temporarily approved. If you are not able to submit said plans and drawings via email you may also come and submit them in person to the Town of Cicero’s Business License Department. Your sketch must include the location of where you will be placing the temporary outdoor dining service and measurements of how far apart you plan to have the tables, chairs, host podium, etc. There is still NO DINE-IN allowed in any bars at this time.
In addition, all bars must continue to follow the Illinois Department of Commerce guidelines at all times. All guidelines can be found attached to this letter and can also be found online at https://www2.illinois.gov/dceo /pages/restoreILP3.aspx. All signs that need to be displayed at your establishment when you open for outdoor-person dining can also be found at said website. In addition, all bars in Cicero must follow the Noise Ordinance during if planning to have outdoor dining.
Any businesses defying this order or the Illinois Department of Commerce guidelines will be shut down immediately and may be issued a ticket or ordinance violation and may have their business and liquor license suspended or revoked. Our Town President Larry Dominick and Board of Trustees are working together to make our community a safe place for all of our residents and businesses. So we ask for your understanding so we can all work together in keeping our Town as safe as possible during these times. We are happy to announce, by order of the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, all restaurants may now allow customers to enter the establishment to place their food orders for carry-out or to pick-up their food orders. However, there may only be 2-3 customers inside the establishment at a time and they must be standing 6 feet apart while they wait to receive their orders. There is still NO DINE-IN allowed in any restaurants at this time.
We are also happy to announce, by order of the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, that all restaurants can open for temporary outdoor-person dining beginning, Monday, June 01st, 2020.
