The Cicero Fire and Police Commission conducts the following testing;
- For Cicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for hiring of potential candidates,
- including arranging required continued testing of candidates called from the list.
- Cicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for promotion to Fire Lieutenant.
- Cicero Police Department creating an eligibility list for hiring of potential candidates,
- including arranging required continued testing of candidates called from the list.
- Cicero Fire Department creating an eligibility list for promotion to Police Sergeant.
- Make public announcements when testing id mandated and continue communication wit applicants throughout all testing processes.
- Conducting some disciplinary hearings as per collective bargaining agreements.
- Maintaining records of hiring and separation of Fire and Police officers.
- Meet on a monthly basis to manage the conduct of all of the above.
