The Office for People with Disabilities was created with the purpose of providing support, information, advocacy and other services to disable persons. Cicero Town President Larry Dominick has made accommodating the special needs and concerns of Cicero’s disabled community an administration priority, providing necessary funding and town personnel to properly administer the town’s programs designed for the disabled.

  • Keep the disabled community current with the laws and their legal rights;
  • Improve their living conditions and quality of life through town programs.

The Office for people with Disabilities offers the following services:

  • Medical transportation assistance;
  • Personal homecare assistance;
  • Handicapped Parking Applications;
  • Medical ID Bracelet Applications;
  • Social Security Benefits Assistance;
  • Medical equipment program;
  • College Transition program;
  • Referrals for various agencies;

The Town of Cicero is deeply committed to supporting individuals with disabilities by fostering an inclusive and accessible community. Through dedicated programs, services, and infrastructure improvements, the Town works to ensure that residents and visitors of all abilities can fully participate in civic life. From accessible public facilities and accommodations to specialized resources and advocacy initiatives, Cicero strives to uphold the rights, dignity, and independence of people with disabilities. This commitment reflects the Town’s belief that everyone deserves equal opportunities to live, work, and thrive.
