The Department of Animal Welfare, Care & Control has obtained a license from the Department of Agriculture that allows us to safely and humanely trap certain types of wildlife. This includes opossums, raccoons, and feral cats that may attempt to make your backyard, porch, or other parts of your property their home.
With the resident’s consent, we will place a humane live trap on your property. Once the animal has been safely contained in the trap, the resident can contact us to schedule a pickup. Our staff will then come to remove the animal and handle it appropriately.
There is no fee for this service.
If you are experiencing issues with unwanted wildlife on your property or have any questions about this program, please contact our office for more information. We are here to help keep your home and neighborhood safe while ensuring that animals are treated with care and respect.
