If a Cicero resident has a pet they can no longer care for, they may contact us to arrange a surrender appointment. The resident will need to bring the pet to our shelter in person. During the visit, our staff will guide them through the process of signing the pet over to our care.
Once the pet has been surrendered, our team will conduct a health assessment, provide any necessary vaccinations, and make sure the animal is ready to be placed for adoption into a safe and loving home.
There is a $25 fee for this service, which helps cover the cost of evaluation, medical care, and sheltering.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call our office during business hours or visit our website. We understand that surrendering a pet can be a difficult decision, and our staff is here to help make the process as smooth and compassionate as possible.
