Halloween, once a children’s holiday filled with trick-or-treating and scary homemade costumes, has become the second-most popular holiday in the United States, second only to Christmas.
But that doesn’t mean kids throughout the nation are not already dreaming of who they will dress up as this year – whether it’s Black Panther, T-Rex, The Incredibles, or Beyonce – while mapping their favorite routes throughout the neighborhoods for the best candy and the most doors they can knock.
Cicero Town President Larry Dominick and the Town Board of Trustees love to be involved in the many holiday traditions they enjoyed, both as children and now as parents and grandparents. That is why they have instituted town-wide trick-or-treat hours for Halloween.
Kids can don their costumes and knock on doors from 3pm to 7pm on Tuesday, October 31
To help make sure everyone continues to celebrate Halloween safely, they have enjoyed this tradition – both as children themselves and as parents and grandparents – and hopes that this year continues to be a safe and enjoyable time for Cicero’s kids.
To give them the best chance to fully celebrate this holiday and stay safe, they have designated the town-wide trick-or-treating hours as 3pm to 7pm on Monday, October 31.
