Cicero West Gives Back to Cicero Kids In Need

Embracing the holiday spirit, Cicero West teachers collected wish lists from children who may not have a pleasant Christmas with one mission in mind: deliver the letters to Santa.

More than 250 students from the school were able to receive gifts from the jolly elf during a Dec. 11 celebration where kids opened boxes filled with shoes, warm jackets, sweaters and even a pair of reading glasses for one special kid.

“The holiday spirit is all about sharing joy and cheer and our staff has truly shown this through its contributions,” said Cicero West Principal Veronica Gonzalez.

The room was filled with laughter and happiness as children and parents alike enjoyed hot cocoa, Christmas treats and sang carols while the packages from the North Pole were ripped open amid shrieks of joy.
