Cicero’s furry friends got into the Christmas spirit this month with the annual Santa Paws vaccination clinic at the Waggin’ Tails Animal Shelter.
Held on Dec. 5 this year, families coming in for a pet vaccination or microchipping of their pets who also brought a pet toy, pet food, or pet treats along with their pets to the event were treated to a complimentary photo of the furry family member with Santa Paws.
“This is an important event for our animal shelter because it brings in much-needed items for the dogs and cats who stay with us while waiting to be adopted,” said Erika Rosas, director of the shelter.
Through Waggin’ Tails, Cicero residents can vaccinate their dogs and cats for a variety of needs for less than $50 total ($25 for rabies and $20 for the 7-in-1 vaccination known as DHLPP+C for dogs and the 5-in-1 FELV&FVRCP vaccination for cats) or install a microchip for $20.
This was the first Santa Paws event at the shelter’s new location behind the Cicero Animal Park on Laramie.
