
Come Join Town President Larry Dominick and the Cicero Board of Trustees at 11am on September 15 for the Grand Opening of the New Cicero’s More Recent Addition:
The New Cicero Animal Shelter and Cicero Campus Park!
The new Animal Shelter will replace the former Waggin’ Tails Shelter as the town’s animal control and adoption center. The new facility will provide an atmosphere of calm for the animals housed there while providing a state-of-the-art care center and outdoor exercise area for the animals while they are there.
Veterinary rooms will the town to provide the programs currently available to town residents, but in a much more efficient manner. The inclusion of familiarization rooms will help make sure every family adopting gets to know the pets and make sure that the pet and family are the right fit for each other.
The new Cicero Campus Park, located at 1800 S. Laramie, includes something for dog owners and families alike. The new park includes three dog areas, a training area and small- and large-dog play areas.
For those residents without pets, the park includes a host of amenities for all ages:
- A State-Of-The-Art Skateboard Bowl
- A Play Area for Children 12 and Under
- An Adult Workout Area
- A Jogging/Walking Path
- Sand Volleyball Courts
- Checker and Chess Boards
- Beanbag Courts
- Plenty of Room to Relax
