
The Town of Cicero Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic, offering a starting salary of $83,545.42. Residents and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements:
- $35 non-refundable application fee
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ages 21 to 34 at time of appointment (some exceptions apply)
- No felony convictions
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- 20/20 corrected vision
- Valid CPAT card with ladder climb (dated within 12 months of application deadline)
- Valid Illinois Paramedic License at time of hire
- Ability to pass additional exams and certifications, including:
- Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
- Loyola EMS System testing
- Written exam and oral interview
