Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts officially opened on Tuesday morning at 2412 Laramie Avenue with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony. Town officials, family, and local supporters gathered at 11:30 a.m. to welcome the business to the community and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of owner Cynthia Andrea Dominguez.
Dominguez, a Cicero resident, shared her inspiration for the store, which specializes in gold, silver, and black-and-gold jewelry.
“I enjoy wearing a lot of gold and jewelry—it’s a beautiful way to express fashion and style,” Dominguez said. “I wanted to share that feeling with others and offer beautiful, accessible pieces to the community.”
Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts is the latest venture from the Dominguez-Camacho family, which is already a familiar face in Cicero’s business community. Cynthia’s husband has operated appliance businesses in the area, giving the family a strong understanding of the local market and the needs of Cicero residents.
Town Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias praised the opening as another sign of progress and economic growth in Cicero.
“It’s always great to see new businesses flourish here,” she said. “We want to thank the Dominguez family for choosing Cicero again, and I was already a customer this morning! Supporting local businesses is more important than ever, and I encourage everyone to stop by and show support.”
Town Trustee Victor Garcia echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of homegrown businesses and the pride they bring to the community.
“When our own residents open businesses right here in town, it shows we’re doing something right,” Garcia said. “I’ve known the Dominguez family for years, and I’m proud to see them continue investing in Cicero. Their energy and enthusiasm inspire others to do the same.”
Business License Director Ismael Vargas thanked the various town departments that work behind the scenes to support new ventures, from licensing to inspections, and emphasized the importance of community-based businesses.
“This is a small, mom-and-pop shop, and we’re blessed to have it here,” Vargas said. “They are not only residents, but they’re choosing to invest in the town they call home—and that’s what community is all about.”
With cheers and applause, the group counted down, and on the count of three, the ceremonial ribbon was cut, officially marking the beginning of Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts.

Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts celebró oficialmente su apertura el martes por la mañana con una alegre ceremonia de corte de listón en el 2412 de la Avenida Laramie. Funcionarios municipales, familiares y miembros de la comunidad se reunieron a las 11:30 a.m. para darle la bienvenida al nuevo negocio y reconocer el espíritu emprendedor de la propietaria Cynthia Andrea Domínguez.
Domínguez, residente de Cicero, compartió la inspiración detrás de su tienda, que se especializa en joyería de oro, plata y combinaciones en negro y dorado.
“Me encanta usar joyas, especialmente de oro. Es una forma bonita de expresar la moda y el estilo,” comentó Domínguez. “Quiero compartir ese sentimiento con los demás y ofrecer piezas accesibles y elegantes para la comunidad.”
Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts es el nuevo proyecto de la familia Domínguez-Camacho, quienes ya son conocidos en el ámbito comercial local. El esposo de Cynthia tiene negocios de electrodomésticos en Cicero, lo que les ha permitido conocer bien a la comunidad y sus necesidades.
La Secretaria Municipal, María Punzo-Arias, estuvo presente junto a miembros de la Junta del Municipio, y elogió la apertura como una muestra más del crecimiento económico en Cicero.
“Siempre es un gusto ver florecer nuevos negocios aquí,” dijo. “Agradecemos a la familia Domínguez por volver a elegir Cicero. ¡Y ya soy clienta desde hoy! Apoyar a los negocios locales es más importante que nunca, y animo a todos a venir y conocer la tienda.”
El Síndico Municipal, Víctor García, resaltó la importancia de los negocios que nacen desde la misma comunidad.
“Cuando nuestros propios residentes abren negocios aquí mismo en Cicero, eso demuestra que estamos haciendo las cosas bien,” comentó García. “Conozco a la familia desde hace años y me da mucho orgullo ver cómo siguen invirtiendo en nuestro Municipio. Su entusiasmo inspira a otros a hacer lo mismo.”
El Director de Licencias Comerciales, Ismael Vargas, agradeció a los departamentos municipales que apoyan a los nuevos negocios, desde la tramitación de licencias hasta inspecciones, y destacó el valor de los pequeños comercios familiares.
“Este es un negocio familiar, y estamos bendecidos de tenerlo en nuestra comunidad,” dijo Vargas. “No solo son residentes de Cicero, sino que también están invirtiendo aquí, en su propio hogar, y eso es lo que fortalece a nuestra comunidad.”
Con entusiasmo, los presentes contaron del uno al tres, y al cortar el listón, quedó oficialmente inaugurado Cléme’s Jewelry and Gifts.
