Town of Cicero presents grant to Community Chest of Cicero
Town Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias and Trustee Victor Garcia attended the annual Christmas Dinner Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Community Chest of Cicero in December. John S. Kociolko, Chest President and former Town Assessor, conducted the program at the Red Feather Building, assisted by Treasurer Gary Nation and Secretary Denis Kowalewski.
Punzo-Arias and Kociolko opened the event, on behalf of Town President Larry Dominick, with the lighting of the Christmas tree in the auditorium, which was festively decorated for the Season.
The Officials presented a grant from the Town on behalf of President Larry Dominick, which benefits the Chest’s partner agencies: Boys Club of Cicero, Children’s Center of Cicero-Berwyn, Family Service and Mental Health, Salvation Army, and UCP/Seguin.
Kociolko acknowledged other donors and expressed special appreciation to the Town of Cicero for its continued support of the Chest, which has been serving our community since 1943.

La Secretaria Municipal María Punzo-Arias y el Administrador Víctor García asistieron a la Cena Anual de Navidad de la Junta de Gobernadores del Community Chest de Cicero en diciembre. John S. Kociolko, Presidente del Chest y ex Asesor Municipal, dirigió el programa en el edificio Red Feather, con la colaboración del Tesorero Gary Nation y el Secretario Denis Kowalewski. Punzo-Arias y Kociolko inauguraron el evento, en representación del Presidente Municipal Larry Dominick, con el encendido del árbol de Navidad en el auditorio, que estaba decorado festivamente para la temporada.
Los funcionarios entregaron una subvención de parte del Municipio en nombre del Presidente Larry Dominick, la cual beneficia a las agencias asociadas del Chest: Boys Club of Cicero, Children’s Center of Cicero-Berwyn, Family Service and Mental Health, Salvation Army, y UCP/Seguin.
Kociolko agradeció a otros donantes y expresó un especial reconocimiento al Municipio de Cicero por su continuo apoyo al Chest, que ha estado sirviendo a nuestra comunidad desde 1943.
