Cicero’s Super Senior recognition program made a special exception to an active Cicero resident who passed away earlier this year. The monthly program that honors residents aged 90 or older presented a certificate to the Super Seniors’ caretakers and officials who knew Jeannine Kudrna, who passed away before she would have turned 90 this past March.
“She was very active in our community, organizing senior events,” said Town Supervisor Joe Virruso. “She was very active in our community organizing senior events. I am glad to see that we can commemorate all of her services to the community. She was truly inspiring.”
Trustee John Cava presented the memorial certificate to the caretakers, who will deliver it to Kudrna’s family.
The Super Seniors program was started in 2017 through the Office of Collector Fran Reitz. Cicero residents who are turning 90 or older are eligible to be formally recognized for their longevity. If you or someone you know is turning 90 or older, please contact Reitz at (708) 656-3600, extension 274, or Marie Pikul at (708) 656-3600, extension 249, between 8am and 8pm, Monday through Thursday.
