Cicero’s October ‘Super Seniors’ Recognized

Town President Larry Dominick the Cicero Town Board saluted another group of seniors in the Town’s “Super Seniors” Recognition Program during the October 24 Board meeting. Those recognized for longevity were Mary Dulik, 93, Marie Esposito, 90, Marie Jones, 94, and Abraham Ortega.

The honorees praised President Dominick and board members, Collector Fran Reitz, Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias, Supervisor Joe Virruso, Assessor Emilio “Emo” Cundari, and trustees Dennis Raleigh, Victor Garcia, Bob Porod and Larry Banks, thanking them for the extensive services that the town provides to its seniors.

“Thank you so much for all that you do President Dominick and board members for the senior citizens,” Esposito said to the officials during the meeting.

Dulik, a widow, noted that she recently had a problem with her furnace and that the Town Handyman program fixed the furnace. Ortega’s son said that his father enjoys retirement in Cicero because of the programs and events the provided by the Senior Center and other town departments.
