Clark Griswold may not live in Cicero, but those living at 1500 S 61st Ave. in Cicero may be the next best thing. The family lit up the streets with its Christmas display, which included homemade light signs wishing everyone both “Feliz Navidad” and “Merry Christmas,” Santa on the roof, the Nativity, and much more.
“One of the most enchanting parts of the holiday season is driving down the streets and feeling like you’re in a winter wonderland as you glimpse houses decked out in bright lights and decorations,” Town President Larry Dominick said. “Their Christmas spirit makes the holiday season a little more special and creates wonderful memories for all to share.”
The lights caught the attention of Antonio Marzano, who works at Town Hall, who notified Dominick’s office. Dominick sent a letter congratulating the family for their efforts in spreading Christmas cheer.
