For the 12th straight year, Cicero’s Community Center gymnasium was packed with dads and daughters as the Cicero Youth Commission held its annual Father/Daughter Dance. The Feb. 8 event featured a night filled with dancing, dinner, and lots of entertainment.
“I have continually heard from fathers about how much they look forward to this special evening with their daughters. This has been a tremendous success,” said Town President Larry Dominick. The dance was CYC’s first event of the year.
Every girl, from toddler on up to high school, received a corsage to wear that night while fathers were able to have a picture taken with their daughters to take home after the fun had finished.
“This is one of the many CYC events that sells out quickly throughout the year, but it is also one of the most important ones as it creates a lasting memory for both the parent and child. I look forward to seeing the same success in a few months with the Mother/Son Dance,” Dominick said.
