Cicero Clean-Up Day

With the warmer weather finally arriving, it’s time to do our part to ensure the town stays clean and vibrant throughout the rest of the year. Town President Larry Dominick and Town Assessor Emilio “Emo” Cundari announce Cicero’s Annual Town-Wide Clean-Up Day for Saturday, May 11. Volunteers, civic and government groups will join together at 9am at the Bobby Hull Community Ice Rink parking lot (5410 W. 34th) and branch out throughout the streets, alleys, and parks to clean up debris, trash, and other items left over from the winter. Lunch will be provided to volunteers after 1pm at the park.

Additionally, there are extra trash pickups throughout the week leading to Clean-Up Day, which allows residents to leave garbage cleaned out from their garages, attics, basements, and other parts of the home. Leave them neatly in the alley for Public Works to pick up during the week. All extra trash must be out by Saturday and it is best to leave it out the day before your regularly-scheduled pickup day.
