Cicero’s seniors made sure to have one last bit of fun to say farewell to summer with the Annual Summer Picnic. Put together by the Cicero’s Senior Activities and Senior Services, this year’s event made sure there was enough fun for everyone.
While this has become a tradition for senior residents, it also highlights one of the key commitments Town President Larry Dominick has to ensure they have exceptional service and plenty of activities throughout the year. This year, seniors turned out in droves, enjoying a complimentary lunch before they broke out their own moves to live music. This year continued the Western theme, where residents and officials donned cowboy gear and other relics from the romanticized Old West.
“When I became president I wanted to make sure Cicero focused on keeping the town safe and free from gang activity, create the best opportunities for our kids to succeed, and ensure our veterans and seniors are taken care of,” Dominick said. “This is just one of the many ways where we work hard to make sure that always happens.”
