Remembering September 11, 2001

Join Town President Larry Dominick and the Cicero Board of Trustees as we remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On Sept. 11, two planes crashed into the World Trade Center and one crashed into the Pentagon, killing thousands of people from all over the world, mostly Americans. A fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers overtook terrorists who planned to use the aircraft for a fourth target, probably the White House. The aftermath of the attacks resulted in an outpouring of support, especially for the families of the victims and the first responders who ran in while everyone else was running out.

John S. Kociolko will host the event as we honor Cicero’s Fire and Police departments at 11am on Monday, September 11 at the Cicero Community Center.
